Now listed as endangered due to poaching and habitat destruction,the giant golden-crowned flying fox is one of the largest bats in existence.
The perspective on the picture is making it look larger than it is. Typical wing span for one of these bats is 1.5–1.7 meters (4 ft 10 in–5 ft 7 in). It is endemic to the Philippines.
